It was great fun, but there has been no new balloon activity since 2006, and I don't expect anything new.

Next Launch: Saturday 22 April - Rain Date: Saturday 29 April. Flight Review at the home of Lee K6ZVA the night before launch.

From the Balloon Track mailing list:

EOSS-101 recovered

Saturday, 25 February 2006
EOSS-101 launch was delayed due to overcast skies at the launch site. However, at 18:33 UTC the skies cleared and we launched.

Recovery teams were in place for a quick recovery thanks to a fairly stable atmosphere which yielded a decent preflight prediction.

A preliminary recap is available:

http://www.eoss.org/ansrecap/ar_130/recap101.htm

No photos, audio or fancy stuff. Just the prelim data files, and a map of the flight and a kudos for our interepid iGate teams. Over the next week or so, I expect that photos will arrive, perhaps some video. I've heard that some really excellent video (P5) of the burst and really the entire flight was recorded by the folks up at the DSES site using their little 60' dish.

I hope to make our flight pages as clean and informative.
